Diamond Mining in Namibia

Crown of Light® Diamonds begin their journey to perfection in the mine. Crystal rough is supplied from various deposits, but especially from the alluvial mines in Namibia, a southern African nation that borders the Atlantic Ocean. Namibian mines produce some of the world's finest diamonds, with over 98% of their output being gem quality. Alluvial mining involves the difficult recovery of diamond crystals from water. Alluvial mining in Namibia means tthe diamonds are in a marine deposit as a result of being naturally transported by water.
