How to recognize a Crown of Light ® Diamond

Crown of Light® diamonds are distinctive in their shape and facet numbers. A Crown of Light Diamond has 90 facets. Traditional round diamonds will have 57 or 58 facets.

Interestingly, this unique diamond requires a certain kind of rough for the cutter to maximize the finished carat weight from the crystal rough.

The ideal shape of diamond crystal from which to polish a Crown of Light is the octahedral shape as seen here. It appears like two pyramids connected at the bottom.

The Crown of Light Diamond will be recognized by a higher crown and a smaller table facet in the center of the crown. These distinct traits are key to the superb light performance seen in a Crown of Light.
